We here are Jonathan Terry Independent Funeral Directors welcome you to search the market of Funeral Directors when making your decision to find the right Funeral director who will be handling the funeral arrangements of your loved one.
When considering funeral directors, it is possible to be misled into believing that all companies provide the same quality of products and level of service and that price should be the only determining factor in your decision. This is not the case and funeral companies will differ greatly in the quality of their products and the standard of their professional services which should be reflected in their price.
To ensure you choose a funeral company that will provide you with peace of mind on the quality of the products and services you require you must not only be fixated on the headline price but consider those other factors that assures you get what you want, such as the reputation of the funeral directors, their standard of available facilities, funeral vehicles and experienced staff who are there to support you in your time of need.
Our quoted prices reflect the quality of our products and services we provide, which we are proud of delivering a higher standard as compared to other funeral directors. As an independent family-owned business, we understand families and are compassionate to the needs of you to deliver a funeral service to which your loved one would be pleased. As such we offer flexibility to be able to tailor our pricing very much to the individual requirements of a family or to reflect the instructions or wishes left by the person who has died.
Being upkeeping members of the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) our facilities and service are monitored by this regulated body who directs the funeral market to ensure the highest level of service are being made available to families in their time of need.
We invite you to arrange a meeting with us at our offices where you are free review and consider our facilities and products in-addition, meeting the team free of any obligation to engage our funeral directors service. If at that time we have met your expectations and are comfortable we are your chosen funeral directors,
we will be pleased to start a discussion, so we are aware of your needs and present to you an estimate of the costs of a funeral services before a commitment has been made to entrust us with funeral arrangements.

Funeral Options
Jonathan Independent Funeral Directors offer a variety of funeral options so that you can clearly choose the funeral that is befitting to you and your loved one.
We pride ourselves on caring for you and your family as if you were our own family. We see it as a privilege to take care of you.

Bereavement Services – The White Lily Centre
All our funeral options give free access to our bereavement services which include, one to one counselling, support groups and community events. Please email info@thewhitelilycentre.co.uk for further details

Simply Cremation
Why Choose a Direct Cremation?
We make sure that your loved one is always treated with care & compassion and ensure no shortcuts are taken. We will always use a hearse to transport your loved to the crematorium with 3 funeral attendants. Should you wish us to use an alternative vehicle we do offer a private ambulance or our funeral estate cars
- Families may choose this form of arrangement because it takes away the stress of arranging a funeral.
- The person who has died requested to have little or no fuss made at their funeral.
- The availability of funds may not ways be at hand.
- Personal circumstance and beliefs.
- You may wish to arrange a separate Celebration of life service. We can help you arrange this and put together an itemised quotation.
- 24-hour advice on registration and procedures.
- Collection from an address or hospital within Hampshire, during our office of hours
of 8.30am - 5pm. - A meeting during office hours to sign and arrange all necessary paperwork this may also be
arranged by telephone and email. - A hearse to transport the deceased to the place of cremation. We believe the care and dignity of your loved one must always be maintained.
- A simple coffin
- Cremation day and time chosen by Jonathan Terry Funeral Directors. If requested, we can inform
you of the day of cremation, however in line with the crematoria instructions there will be no formal funeral service and no mourners in attendance. Please see Further services for attendance at our chapel of rest. - We will collect your loved one’s ashes from the crematorium, we will provide a polyurn container, the ashes may also be scattered at the crematorium garden of rest. We also offer a choice of caskets or urns.

Funeral Directors additional Services for a Direct Cremation
To some families the direct cremation process, although practical, and honouring the wishes of your loved one, may not always satisfy your own thoughts and wishes for that last moment with your loved one. For this reason, we at Jonathan Terry are happy to discuss a tailored made arrangement around the direct cremation by offering the following:
| Attending the chapel of rest with a closed coffin to spend time with your loved one. You may also arrange to hold a vigil service at the chapel of rest for up to 8 people |

The Low Cost Cremation or Burial Service
This service is for families who want a simple, traditional funeral service.
Why Choose a The Low Cost Cremation or Burial Service?
- The Funeral Directors professional service charge, including a dedicated Funeral Director, attending to all arrangements for you. 24 hour advice on all aspects of the funeral service.
- To remove your loved one from home or hospital within Hampshire into our care
(no extra cost if it is out of hours) - A basic coffin and dressing of your loved one in a white gown – care of your loved one
- Visitation at our chapel of Rest within office hours Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
- A hearse to convey your loved one from our chapel of rest direct to the service venue, you may also leave from a local address and follow the hearse in your own car.
We will collect your loved one’s ashes from the crematorium, we will provide a polyurn container, the ashes may also be scattered at the crematorium garden of rest. We also offer a choice of caskets or urns
Crematorium and cemetery restricted service times
The Funeral Time
A 30 minute service to be held at Southampton, Wessex Vale or Test Valley Crematorium.
Southampton Crematorium times: East Chapel 9.00am, 9.30am or 4.00pm.
Wessex Vale or Test Valley Crematorium times: 9.00am or 9.30am.
The burial service may take place at any cemetery/churchyard within a 30-mile radius of our offices, the service will need to take place before 10.30 am
What is not included in the low-cost cremation service:
• Visitation at our chapel of rest outside of office hours
• Collection and administration of donations
Can I add any items to the basic funeral?
Yes, we appreciate that you may wish to add services to the low-cost funeral and we will be pleased to discuss your request on an individual basis and advise additional costs.
Burial fees
Burial fees will be advised when the cemetery or churchyard is known – memorial fees will also apply if a memorial needs to be removed for burial.
Payment
Please note that we require all disbursement fees and additional costs e.g. flowers and newspaper notices to be paid in full before the funeral service takes place.

Can I add any items to the basic funeral?
Yes, we appreciate that you may wish to add services to the low-cost funeral and we
will be pleased to discuss your request on an individual basis and advise additional
